How long have you worked at Petteril Bank Primary School?
I began working at Petteril Bank in 2017.
What would the children be surprised to find out about you?
I used to take part in gymnastics as a child and can still manage to do a cartwheel and a backward walkover on a good day!
What makes a ‘good’ day at Petteril Bank Primary School?
Most days at Petteril Bank are fantastic, not just good. What makes our school special are the children, staff, and the community!
The days when you have past classes running up to you, wanting to tell you about what they have now achieved. Wanting to share what they are learning, these moments put a smile on my face and feel proud to be part of Petteril Bank Primary School.
What is the best thing about being a Teacher?
Being able to work with the most amazing children. I enjoy every day; no day is the same and making learning as fun as possible and purposeful. I love being able to use creativity and excitement and see this in the children in my class. Seeing those little wins and happy faces when children achieve things they thought were impossible or out of their reach.
What wisdom would you pass on to the children in your class?
We all make mistakes, that’s how we learn. We should always be proud of our own hard work and achievements. I often say this to my current class.
